Tires BRIDGESTONE or Nokia
Studded all the way! Had Hakkas on my RAV4 and they made such a difference. They can save your life on black ice.
ive used nokian all weather tires - an actual true all weather
If this is your first time, yes get some studded tires, something like a Hakkapelitta.
My little car, a fwd Ford Focus has non studded Hakkapelittas.
We drive a FWD minivan or a RWD truck - both with good winter tires, Michelin X-ice on the minivan, Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3 non-studded on the truck.
I ran Blizzaks over the last few years.
I have Nokian Hakkapelitta studded tires and they\u2019ve been amazing the last 2 years living in Banff and I have a RWD car, drove to Calgary and back plenty of times, in snow storms and have driven to Jasper and BC in the winter with no issues.
I recently replaced my worn out stock tires (the OEM low rolling resistant EV friendly ones) on my ‘22 Bolt EV 2LT with Bridgestone Weatherpeak 215/50R17’s mainly due to a sale at Costco Tires. I wanted the snowpeak rating as winter is upon us. However, my efficiency dropped dramatically since, going from an average of 4.5 miles per KWh (even in the dead of winter averaging 30 degrees F) to around 3.1 miles
They are garbo. I got 30k out of my turanzas before I had to get new ones. I went with the Michilin Cross Climate 2. Totally worth it.
The turanza el440 that comes standard with the Camry is trash. It has the same treadwear as summer sticky tires.
