Tires BRIDGESTONE or TIGAR
Highly recommend Blizzak WS90's
If you are a Costco member find the tires you want through them and then contact Discount Tire via chat and they will price match the Costco out the door price. I bought a set of Bridgestone tires for my F250 and it saved me a couple of hundred dollars.
I got Blizzaks last winter and they’ve been amazing. Last year I drove across MI (5 hours) in a severe snowstorm warning (1ft+ snow) and a snow squall warning. I must have passed close to 100 cars/trucks in ditches. I never felt unsafe traction wise, I was planted. My Dad also had them on his old Charger 392 years ago and we took it ice fishing. Since then i’ve loved Blizzaks.
so far they’re quiet, grippy under wet conditions & slightly better in handling & ride than the Dunlop Grandtrek that came with them. Haven’t driven them in snow yet…
Honestly, for that run rate, any good tire brand works. Bridgestone, MRF, Ceat.
Blizzaks are the best for snow, x-ice are the best for ice. Depends on how you drive. If you’re late breaking all the time then you want x-ice for better braking grip, if you drive slow in the winter and plan your stops then blizzaks will have better acceleration traction.
I’ve been driving a Honda CRV with Bridgestone Blizzaks and haven’t had any issues.
My biggest complaint was the Bridgestone tires. I had two replace two tires in the 2.5 years that I had this car. I had to wait nearly 2 weeks for a replacement to arrive.
I suffered with Ecopia tires for 50,000 miles. Nothing but headaches. Tire wobble at high speeds never went away after numerous rebalances. Nails and screws were seemingly drawn to these tires like magnets, although they repaired well enough to drive around, my tire light was constantly informing me of more trouble. Never buying Bridgestone tires again.
