I’m getting the same continentals again. They’re whisper quiet.
I have carbon wheels and ride very rocky trails 6-8 hours/week. I use Kryptotal Fr and Kryptotal Re, both in enduro soft, and I don't use inserts. They are great tires. Excellent grip, fast rolling.
I recommend Bridgestone Weatherpeak (Subaru Ascent).
It may not be universal, but I can tell you from my experience, Continentals and damn good tires.
I went with the Continentals. Been on them for almost a year now. Feel great with good grip for spirited driving in the mountains.
I've been running Blizzaks (WS80, then WS90) on the stock wheels on my '18 Sportwagen since new and have loved them.
OEM Continental Cross contact lasted about 40k miles.
I’ll third the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02s. Every bit of what you’d expect from a flagship summer performance tire. Dry grip is phenomenal, with excellent wet weather performance. Steering feel has been very complementary to the quick rack on the Giulia. Noise level is very good, considering the overall package - much improved over the original ECS I had on my SS. I don’t think you can go wrong with either these or the PS4S.
Just got a whole set of these myself. Holy flexy sidewalls Batman! Comfy ride? Yes. Curb or rock protection? 1/10 ???? Quietness? 10/10! Cornering? 5/10.
I wasn’t a fan of the original Bridgestones. They died an early death with just freeway driving due to a track focused wheel alignment.
