Tires Continental or BRIDGESTONE
I've never used the Contisport Contact SSR, but am very happy with the ExtremeContact 02. They've been great wet and dry.
From a drive to work yesterday at about 24 deg F on Bridgestone Blizzak WS90 winter tires = 2.9 mi/kwh. The Blizzaks are very grippy. Next time I need new tires, im going to try the Nokian hakkapeliitta r5. I think I read somewhere they have a better efficiency.
I've ran the Conti Extreme Contact Sport, very good summer tires. Compared to the Pilots they wear a bit longer but a bit less grip and slightly softer sidewalls.
I have the SSR on my RWD and like them a lot. I haven't run the pilot sports before but I do know that those tend to wear pretty quickly and take a little longer to warm up compared to the SSR.
CONTINENTAL ALLSEASONCONTACT 2 - t raktam fel most télen. Nyilván csak pár hónapja használom, de szeretem.
That said, swap those 32mm tires for some 25-28mm GP5000s and you'll be flying compared to your current setup
I've used Nokians for years but tried Blizzak WS-90s this time around because they were a fair bit less expensive. They seem fine but seem to have noticeably more rolling resistance than the Nokian, and I notice it's easier to spin them starting up on dry pavement in cold weather than I'd experienced with Nokian in the past. I'll be switching back to whatever Hakkapeliitta is current once these are worn out.
I had the Bridgestones on my Mk7.5 GTI and was very unhappy with them. When it was time to change tires (after only 12,000 miles) I went with the Michelin PSAS4 I was blown away by how much better they were.
I have DM-V2s on an ascent they are not going to last 3 winters.
