Tires Continental or DUNLOP
I had a 62 Corvair. Because of the swing axel on the early ones it was a bad idea to use radial tires. I had Dunlop Gold Seal bias ply tires and the car cornered like it was on rails. It was a good car.
I have Dunlop Winter Response tires and NA grips in snow like crazy. Had cheaper ones some time ago and difference is stunning.
Continental Viking Contact 8 is leading the reviews this year. Having recently run Blizzaks amd R5's I can say they are my favoueite, just because they aren't a squirrely nightmare when it warms up (Blizzaks) and I can't draw many differences to the R5's, except for the massive difference in cost.
Uk here but up in the hills so get more snow than most. My goto is continental wintercontacts. Currently on ts870 on my My2000 jaguar xj8 4.0 sovereign
Continental all season contact 2. Bez ikakvih problema, normlana voženja.
I put Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus on my ND1 and they are great for sporty daily driving
I had a set of Continentals do the same thing on my wife’s gently driven Escape. I am religious about tire pressure, and they otherwise wore evenly.
The SportContact 6 have been disappointing in a few areas: poor rolling resistance, high wear, and noticeable road noise. I’d like to improve on those aspects while keeping good wet grip. I don’t mind a bit less dry handling — the SportContact 6 are insanely good there, but I’m not tracking the car, so that level of performance isn’t really necessary for public roads.
Cannot stress this enough do not buy continental tires they’re shit their warranty sucks speaking from experience and trips to the Audi dealership to prove there’s nothing wrong with my car paperwork back-and-forth with Continental to try and get them to warranty my tires that disintegrated after 10 to 12,000 km Their crap Michelin pilot sport is the way to go
We all know they are lackluster tires.
