Tires Continental or DUNLOP
Dws06+ for sure. I use to be a Michelin guy and I switch to continental and I’d never go back now. Some of the best all round tires in my opinion. Only tire I run on my GS F!
I have the continental extreme contact on my NB, and same. Those tires are fantastic. I dont get to push those tires nearly as hard because the car is not nearly as powerful as the ND is. But, I trust those tires very much.
I got some Continental extreme contact dws 06 plus one size, 235, for my nd and they're great
I bought Conti Viking 7s this year for our Golf 7 wagon. I have to say that I'm very impressed with them. Again, never lost confidence in them in the worst weather we've had this winter.
My VikingContact 7’s made it look easy lol
No issues at all on DWS06+'s. Plowed through some untreated parking lots with ease.
Just fine in Chicago weather with dsw06+, it’s not amazing but it will handle most conditions including ice if your not a moron.
I went with the same tire and size with the Model X rims, up from the 19s. I'm seeing about a 9% range loss around town, but I'm also driving it a lot harder now that I have the traction. I do feel like I have a lot more camber in the rear, that I definitely need to take care of. Most surprisingly, I think the ride is so much better than the 19 Cont Rxs. Sound seems ok, but I think I got a bad tire or something because my front drivers side tire makes a lot of noise. I was hoping it would go away, but it seems to have gotten worse.
The tires are uncomfortable rocks at any temperature under about 55 degrees, and will actually fail at temperatures around 40 degrees. They are just-barely-road-safe competition tires essentially designed for use in warm ambient temperatures only.
I had an STI with the stock tires for a long time and they were terrible in the cold weather.
