Tires Continental or GENERAL TIRE
Snow tires have been one of the best decisions I made with my '25 WRX. I decided to go with the Continental Viking Contact 8, and my goodness, are they fantastic. In the Western New York area (Buffalo) we get dumped on regularly, and sometimes it doesn't let up. For years, I used all-seasons, but switching to proper tires for winter has made a difference like no other.
I’ve never had a problem with my Continental DWS06 plus’s. 2 winters coming up on third and haven’t slipped or slid ONCE in western pa winters. Highly recommend.
Continental All Season Contact aici.
most WRX folks I know (including me) have had really good results with the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06+ since they’re way smoother, handle NJ winters decently, and take the edge off rough roads without killing the sporty feel
Conti GP5000ASTR 35mm setup tubeless, currently using them over winter (@ 50psi) and they have a lot of grip, good comfort, seem durable so far (only have about 750 miles on them, wearing well and no punctures yet) and they seem fast to me
Conti TerraSpeed 35s may be your best bet. Great grip and pretty damn fast as per BRR and my own usage.
Eu uso Premium Contact nas rodas de trás e acho excelente. Bem silencioso.
Continental Extreme Contact DWS. Much higher quality than CC2.
The SportContact 6 have been disappointing in a few areas: poor rolling resistance, high wear, and noticeable road noise. I’d like to improve on those aspects while keeping good wet grip. I don’t mind a bit less dry handling — the SportContact 6 are insanely good there, but I’m not tracking the car, so that level of performance isn’t really necessary for public roads.
Just put on a fresh pair of Kryptotals on Bontrager tubeless ready rims. Took 4 hours and 7 plastic tire wrench’s to get both tires on. Getting them to seat wasn’t too bad.
