Tires Continental or Goodyear
I put Goodyear Exhilarates on my 6 and they were awesome. Extremely good traction in the rain. Never really used them in winter weather, but they were phenomenal wet or dry.
I had these installed on my 2016 GT last April:
Continental Extreme Contact DWS06
I don’t do much driving anymore (COVID work from home plus I drive my Miata when the weather is good) but over approx 10k miles I’ve been perfectly happy with them.
Update.... I got the Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrives for the van after some research and discussion with Tire Rack. They have pretty much eliminated tire noise and sharp impacts, which is great.
I tried blizzaks years ago and they were ok. Then I tried Vikingcontact 7's and have stuck with them for multiple vehicles.
Based on Tirerack reviews, I'm leaning towards the Continental Vikingcontact7 which I'll use from Thanksgiving until early March. Anyone tried these tires? If so, how would you rate them?
Vikingcontact7s. Not the absolute best tires out there, but I think the best for the price
If you want an all season, you can’t go wrong with Continental, or the Pilot Sport 4s summer tire like most suggest.
My 2016 came with Dunlops that were garbage, replaced them at 25k with Continental DWS06s and it was like getting a brand new car. Highly recommend.
Been there, done that: 205/55-16 summer tires (Conti ExtremeContact DW) on steel wheels It was alright, sidewalls were a bit soft. Great for city driving, like Toronto, or better yet, Montreal, roads there are just terrible.
No. Continental made terrible tires in IMSA. Michelin came in this year and records were set at every single track in nearly every class.
