Tires Continental or Goodyear
Continental DSW06 and never look back good in the summer amazing in the snow
Vikingcontact 7 — VERY good in snow and ice. Good in dry and wet.
Have had them since Friday and haven’t had any bad weather yet, but there is only just the slightest difference in dry handling performance from the stock tires. For me, a non-professional driver not driving on a track, it’s only just _barely_ noticeable.
my stock GY wranglers are holding strong through rock climbing and mud.
Continental terrain contacts performed amazingly on my vw Touareg. Took them to Moab regularly and lived in summit county Colorado. So they saw plenty of slick rock and snow. Not the best cold weather tire, but one of the best all terrains in cold weather. Way better winter performance than my ko2s.
I'm a big fan of my Continental Terrain Contact A/T. They don't look aggressive as KO2s or Falkens, but they perform well off-road, wet conditions, and are quiet on the road. Have not tested them in icy conditions.
High Desert Nevada. Continental have gotten me through the big storms we get and numerous icy conditions. With the traction control on the Velos, they have worked great.
My Continental ECS Sport lasted about 5 events. Not the most track oriented but fine for me. I didn’t really need new ones but the lack of camber was evident and they came out with the Sport 02
As someone who was between these two tires and went with DWS06, get the Michelins. I've had issues with vibrations from the continentals that just won't go away. Balanced multiple times by multiple shops. Had all suspension and steering components checked and couldn't solve it.
A worker at Discount Tire told me that one of their customers had the foam that is glued to the interior of the Goodyear ElectricDrive 2 tires delaminated and come off leading to the tires wobbling after a few months.
