Tires Cooper or NANKANG
I put on a set of Cooper Endeavor Plus tires. Have had them on for 40K and still have 6 mm left on the tires, so I should get 60K+. Quiet, comfortable, and work pretty good in the snow. They ran me $563 at tire Rack for a set of 4 and another $100 for install. I would definitely buy again.
Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx All Terrain/Mud Terrain hybrid tire with really good performance off-road, in mud and sand and snow, on dry pavement, and inclement weather.
cooper stt pros were some of the lightest 37" offroad tires on the market... stt pro in that size are e-rated, which is fine with me because i've had to deal with sliced sidewalls on other brands... it is an aggressive tread.
They are cheap and as good as the main brands. I have been using mine for three years no problem at all.
I have cooper at on my 19 that have lasted 7 years but I switch them out spring and fall.
I can personally attest to the quality of the coopers, as I've put mine through absolute hell on my first gen frontier, which is my bush/overlanding rig.
I have nankang econex on my 2006 twingo. But since i barely drive it, it's just fine.
I got 50,000 on a set of these and never rotated them. They were howling pretty bad because of it, and totally my fault. I went in to replace them and the tire shop said I had plenty of tread to go farther, I just couldn't stand the howl anymore.
Cheapest brand I ever used was the Nankang NS-2, understeered everywhere and wore out in 2 years
Can't speak to an Elantra N, but on my GT86 they were very noisy and very uncomfortable.
