Tires DUNLOP or Hifly
I got 3500 out of a Q3 rear before I replaced it last week. Including a bunch of hooligan rear tire skids too. Im happy with mine.
They last about as long as my Power 3s used to, I have about 2000 miles on my rear and probably have another 1500 left before I start showing steel.
If I had to choose between the Kumho, the Dunlop and the Goodyear, I'd pick the Dunlop.
Both are not at the top of the current offerings...but the ZII is better than the NT05. Make sure you have a sprayer to keep them cool because grip falls off a cliff once they get hot.
I don't shave tires, and I ran 150+ runs and a few thousand street miles easily on my Z2s last year. They still have life left in them.
I have lived in the snowiest city on earth (Valdez, AK) as well as the UP of Michigan and now in Maine and I've always used the Dunlop Winter Sport M3's with great results. I will keep using these (or Winter Sport 3D for larger wheels) as long as they make them.
I have Dunlop Graspic DS-3s on my car in the winter and they perform quite well on dry and wet pavement. They are a bit more slippy and the feel is a bit more muddy
I absolutely hated the stock gpr-300s on my ninja. In the dry they worked fine (only lowsided twice in a parking lot from trying to make the smallest possible circles), but I slid out constantly in the wet (thankfully never crashed) at normal lean angles and not very much throttle. I replaced them after about 4k miles.
About 2 years ago I had 4 Dunlop Conquest Touring tires installed on my 2015 Passat. About 5 months ago, less than 15,000 miles we noticed a groaning sound coming from the passenger side rear. I had all 4 tires rotated and now the noise is coming from the passenger side front. This was more annoying than having the groaning noise come from the rear so we had them rotated back again. The \"dealer\" said it was due to cupping and that's common with Dunlop.
Got a bump on the sidewall of my right tyre after couple days and I haven't drove the car. After 2 days the right front started getting the same bumb on the sidewall of my tyre.
