Tires FEDERAL or ADVAN
If it's any consolation, after what I've experienced with the RR I would not hesitate to put a set of PROs on a daily driver for the summer. They have incredible grip for the price, I and a couple of friends have been able to remain competitive on the RR. I would assume from the RR they will have good cold grip, making them good in the wet as long as you don't go through puddles.
I’ve been a Federal fan for a few years now. Downfall of the RR’s was the road noise, the Pro has fixed that. Can’t wait to hit the track this year with them.
I like them for the price. Grip is great and noise is definitely less than the RS-RRs. They are certainly not RE71s or Rivals but I can buy two sets for the price of top tier. They also run wide as hell. They also wear like iron. Same as the RS-RR.
Federal tires are fantastic on a budget.
Over all, very happy with the RS-RRs last year and will be buying another set when these run their course.
RS-RR will have more grip without a doubt the price is quite good for what you get however keep in mind these tires are loud as shit like really really loud.
Federal 595 RS-R. It's a very well priced tyre.
I've had Evo595 and they aren't that good. I ordered their RS-R and were sent RS-RR instead due to being sold out. These are so much better (quite loud if that's fine) have been on daily for 11k miles now with tread at okay level.
Unless these were going to be specific track tires, I would not go with the Federal RS-RR's. I use them as my track tires and they're great for that, but they're a very loud tire. I got a flat on my daily set and waiting on the shipment and to mount and balance so I've been using the Federal's for my day to day driving and after 30mph, it's so loud in my car. Every passenger I've had always ask what the humming sound is and now I just joke it's my exhaust drone
As a competitive tire ? No. As a cheap learning/fun tire? yep. He complained about how soft the sidewalls where, even when over inflated at 45ish psi.
