Tires Firestone or Maxxis
Firestone Indy 500 tires the car is sucked to the ground.
I have Firestone Winterhawk 4, and they are great. Its basically budget version of Blizzaks as they are owned by Bridgestone. I am in central Europe and we have mild and wet winters as well, my driving profile includes everything, I will do 500km on the highway, mountain pass and then city driving and they work perfectly. We have them on 3 cars already. I was thinking about something more premium, but I am perfectly happy with them.
I personally use 205/50r16 Firestone Winterforce 2's on my MK7 for Iowa Winters, it's a great tire and I've had little issues with it.
I just ordered a set of Maxxis RC1 because of bad feedback I heard about the Proxes R. I’ve run the RC1 for a while now and they’re a great track day tire. Super consistent through long sessions and over many heat cycles.
I currently have Firehawk AS V2's on mine. I live in an area that gets all four seasons, and they've served me well in the rain and snow/ice. I'm sure I'm sacrificing some summer performance, but that's pretty far from my priority. No issues with excessive wear or tire noise
Nebenbei läuft hier noch ein Nissan Transporter, weil der relativ wenig gefahren wird auf Allwetterreifen:
Maxxis AP3 Vansmart
My wife bought a car from carvana and i noticed on delivery that the tires were at the wear bars. Took it to Firestone, they filed a claim with SR on the spot and had new tires in a couple of hours. Can’t complain about that.
Firestone destination le3 is decent and cheap tire there, a lot of sizes. Is the tire amazing? Fuck no, but has great wet traction, low rolling resistance, and through the roof treadwear.
Tried a DHF for the first time yesterday. That vague transition zone is REAL and I did NOT like it.
My dad had a Ranger that came with the recalled infamous Firestone Wilderness AT's. When they did the recall, they put the shittiest summer street tires on as a replacement with absolutely no traction in the snow. That's the worst tire I've ever ran on a vehicle.
