Tires Firestone or MRF
The original Winter Force tires are streets ahead of the Winter Force 2.
I like the set of firestone winterforce I just put on our XC70 this year so far. Took them out on snow/ice a few times so far and they feel like I would expect any dedicated winter tire to feel. What took me by surprise is how they drive in the dry... perfectly reasonable handling/braking and reasonable road noise for a winter tire. These actually handle and brake better in the dry than bridgestone weatherpeaks.
Another solid budget pick is the Firehawk Indy 500 (basically a baby Pilot Sport but cheaper). I ran them on my old Mk7 and they were awesome for daily + fun drives.
MRF tire ang pinakamakunat na tire based sa feedback ng mga daily users like moto mc at delivery riders. Hard compound kasi. Makapit pa at budget meal.
Indy500 - probably my favorite all around tire. Good looking tread, great dry grip, SUPERB wet grip, and also very quiet & comfortable
Firehawk Indy 500. They've been great and also really good grip in winter/rainy weather. I have about 26k miles on them with plenty of tread still. And they're cheap.
I\u2019ve had decent luck with the all weather Firestone Destination At/2 and I had some nokians before that that were really good but treads wore a bit faster.
Last week I got a flat tyre on my back from the office and found that this tyre on my 2-month-old Suzuki Fronx (Aug 2025 model) is no more usable. Found a chipped off thread grip on the driver's side tyre, which resulted in low pressure. Due to driving at that pressure, the side liner developed cracks, losing its pressure holding capacity. Commonly, it is a clear case of prolonged low-pressure driving. However, in my case, since the tyre always looked low on pressure, I made sure to check the tyre pressure at every gas station while refueling. Now I am running on a spare tyre and wondering if I should go for the same tyre (MRF Wanderer 195/60 R16) or another brand.
Those are suredrive sold by firestone. Do not even think of taking these on any ice or snow. Firestone sells all season tires that have the capability of going in snow but these are not it. These are entry level tires.good enough for highway and city driving but that\u2019s it.
1990s Ford Explorer were pretty solid except for the pesky factory installed Firestone tires that would blow out at speed.
