Tires Goodyear or Vredestein
If so, I'll be happy to support Goodyear and buy my next tires from them!
I just bought a set of winter Vredesteins in November and so far, I've been very, very pleased with their performance (coming from a history of Blizzaks, then more recently Michelin Alpins).
Saw the CC2s recommended which are solid. Planning on swapping my stocks out personally for GY Workhorses here in a week or two
It sounds like your issues are mostly due to the tires. The stock tires aren't very good in the [snow and cold](https://www.tirerack.com/tires/continental-procontact-rx). I changed my tires to better all-weather tires (Vredestein Quatrac Pros) and saw great performance in snow for the last two winters in Chicago.
Also running Vredestein Quatrac Pro in a wet state that gets some snow too. Excellent all-rounder.
I am running Vredestein Quatrac Pro. Super comfy ride but still pretty sporty for a all-season tire. I would not hesitate to buy another set of Vredestein tires, all seasons or not!
Replaced factory Continental tires with Vredestein Quatrac Pros, which are infinitely better.
I use those exact tires. Unless you’re doing something crazy, they’re really good. I’ve driven them in horrible winter weather to very rainy summer days on the autobahn. They’re the best I’ve ever had.
I am trashing all three of my Tx's today. Replacing with Goodyear Exhilerates. Suppose to be a good tire by the reviews that I have read (especially with wet traction).
I am not exactly sure what comes on these but the Good Year Wrangler AT with Kevlar that came on my Tacoma Off Road were the worst tires I have ever owned in 30 or so years. At 20k miles they were done. Every one had a patch. Every one had slow leaks and the wear was crazy at 20k 2 years.
