Tires Hankook or Continental
The 31" Hankook Rw11's have been fantastic in the snow.
When the insurance finally ran out and it was time to change tires, I went for a different brand, Hankook all seasons and never had any blow out since then. I have 179k miles on the car and has been replacing it with the same brand since then and not once had a blowout . And I've hit major potholes too.
Continental 195 65 15 on all four corners -- fantastic snow traction in a front drive with traction control. It would beat SUV's with all seasons in a stoplight snow drag race.
I have Continentals on two of my cars. Wouldn’t settle for anything less. And we get a lot of snow and ice.
Continental touring+ is legit too. Havent had 1 flat since I switched several years ago.
Highly recommend Conti Dws 06. While not as sticky on dry compared to the Dunlop’s I had zero issues last winter.
The Continental ECS (Extreme Contact Sport) are worlds ahead of them and do amazing in the rain.
I use the DWS06 currently, used on 17 CWP as well. I only notice the sidewall negatively when trying to take highway on-ramp curve at high speeds. But even then it’s not dramatically different than stock Dunlop’s. I actually enjoy them more during the rest of driving because of smoothness.
I had the Hankook Ventus V12s are a different car. Here are my thoughts:
Decent grip, soft sidewall, narrower tire for its size.
My gp4000's popped CONSTANTLY. Got a hole in the sidewalls in less than 500 miles.
