Tires Hankook or KENDA
The best tire I have found for this setup is the Kenda K161 Knobby Cross 27x1-3/8 Gum Wall Tire. I have a set on a city bike of similar vintage and geometry and they're really quite good.
Just replaced factory continentals with the Hankook Ion Evo as SUV and couldn\u2019t be happier. Discount tire was $1500 otd. I put 900 miles down on them over a road trip for thanksgiving and can confidently say they are better than the factory tires. \n\nSuper quiet, great in wet.
just replaced the T1res with the Hancock ev ion thingys. I like them and notice they are much quieter.
I would recommend swapping the tires out and setting it up tubeless when you get around to it. It came with Torreno dry 38s and I put on Kenda Crusher 45/40s and it is much faster and capable on dirt and road.
Hankook, only because it has a good review from a popular consumer testing site but none of the others were reviewed.
Kenda Nevegal and Kenda Kobra are the two tires I know of that are full all-terrain tires in the 24” wheelchair wheel size.
I drove all last winter with the standard 18” Hankook AS tires that came with my Model 3 LR. Worked fine.
I am at 25k in 13 months with 4/32 on my rear and 6/32 on the fronts of my Y Performance (can’t rotate due to staggered wheels). I have the Hankook Ion Evo AS suv tires. Those only start at 8.5/32 new from Tesla vs 10/32 for the replacement version. Not bad, if I was able to rotate I would have averaged 3.5/32 of wear over 25k miles. They still have pretty good traction, was able to fully launch in the recent nor’easter storm with slippage only on painted lines (testing to see how traction is in full rain, pretty impressive). But, there are now turns or on/off ramps that the rear wants to step out when applying a little more power than I should, was able to practically drift it around a ramp during the same storm.
Worse tires I've ever had was a set of hankook tires, as soon as they got a drop of water on them they would feel like you're driving on ice
I had a set of kenda tires. They look aggressive but are the most slippery tire on the road. I wouldn't buy them again.
