Tires IRONMAN or SUNNY
Ironman all country M/T are actually really solid!
Ironman have been good on my inlaws buick enclave. Travels a fair amount between houstin and west texas...they've had em for about 5 yrs or so.
I bought 4 new Ironman tires and I am still very content with them.
I had those on my Stock S13 (169 HP) on 17's and they worked like a charm.
Beautiful consistent Grip through the whole tire-life. I also didn't overinflate them. Ran them on 2 Bar cold pressure.
I honestly was impressed how well they worked on my car.
I got the ironman iMove gen 2 as, for about 600 CAD plus instal they are a all season and have been really good so far, just terrible in snow and ice other then that I'd recommend
Another vote for Ironmans. Used to run them on my foxbody until I wanted more grip
I use 245-45-17 but ironman gen 2s have slightly less grip, and will last about as long. Only big downside I noticed is off throttle the ironmans will "float" alot more than the 595s. I started running the ironmans when the federals started going out of stock everywhere this summer
Just had this happen (don’t buy Ironman tires) it eventually popped on the way home from a long day of work. Wish I hadn’t waited to address it sooner
Sunny's came on the Pegasus' the Volvo was sold with. I knew they were bad but that wet stopping is Suffice to say I am quite relieved the Polaris' I replaced them with came with Nitto NT555's installed.
A few years back I looked at a CPO 2009 GTI - had Sunny tires on it. Besides the rest of the car being beat to snot and smelling terrible, the tires were horrible. I didn't look at what was on the car until after the test drive. I couldn't believe it was a CPO.
