Kumho Tires
StinklePink
Rating 4.0
  • Grip:
  • Ride comfort:

Just bought these as I was in the market. I like them. A little more firm of a ride but not terrible. Price was right and I am KUMHO fan and that is who makes these for Discount. In summary if money is an object, good value and I would recommend.

Pros: good value, price right
Cons: more firm of a ride

Kumho Tires

the Kumho TA51 (assuming TA51a as it is the current production) is a well reviewed and tested very low rolling resistance tire, thanks to a silica-enhanced tread compound. Most reviewers and owners over time generally note a small INCREASE in fuel economy of 1-3 MPG.

Pros: low rolling resistance

Go for Giti or even their more popular variant in motorsports, GT Radial. They're pretty affordable and have been loving them on our Ranger.

Pros: affordable, loving them
Vehicle: Ford Ranger

I replaced mine after 27k miles and they were DONE, no thread left on any of them. 13k miles later they look very good, but I have also been rotating them (unlike the Kumho ones).

Pros: look very good
Cons: no thread left
Mileage: 27000 km

I find Kumhos Start going really hard as soon as the first few mm come off. Great for longevity but not great for ride and grip after first year.

Pros: great for longevity
Cons: not great ride and grip

Kumho Tires

Some Kumho winter tires or someshit. Had them almost a decade ago and only went 1 winter on them before I said fuck it and bought Michelins.

Cons: not specified

Kumho Tires

I think it’s gotta be the Kumho all seasons I have on my DD right now, they have absolutely zero grip even on perfectly dry warm roads

Cons: zero grip, dry roads
