Tires LASSA or GENERAL TIRE
I had General Grabbers AT3 and they were great.
I've only ever tried 1 - General Altimax Artic. I drove on them through the Rockies for 4 ski seasons, no studs. Can't imagine needing anything more. My Subaru felt unstoppable... but also completely stoppable! I could turn and brake just fine. Felt like I was on pavement. Almost no fun because I couldn't even get the car to drift!
I second the suggestion of General Grabbers, I replaced mine after 12 years with life still in them.
I have General Grabber tires on my 2016, and they are great. Low noise, good on the street even on wet roads. They are also very, very good off road.
Altimax Arctic 12s on steelies has been my winter outfit for the last decade. Handles Kansan winters just fine, as well as my hilly driveway. Drove through Loveland Pass during a blizzard, no problems.
I put on a set of General Altimax tires and there was a massive difference in driveability in the snow.
We are going with General Altimax RT45s on our 2025 Model 3 LR RWD. Grand touring, 700 A A, XL load. Well rated. Good price.
We replaced the OEM Firestones with a set of General AltiMAX RT45 all-seasons and they have been fantastic so far on our 2019. Quieter than the Firestones and excellent in both dry and wet.
I'm running on General Altimax R43 - Grand Touring All Season. Very good tire overall, but when I step hard on the gas pedal, I can't keep the tires from squealing in first gear, even from a roll. It seems the GLI can benefit from a tire with better dry traction.
I have them but they are incredibly thin. I’ve already had to replace a set of them due to how thin the sidewall is. I wouldn’t buy them again
