Tires Maxxis or WEST LAKE
I’m not convinced that Chinese tires are terrible, it depends on the brand. ZC tires, who make Westlake and Arisun, I think makes a good product, and have arguably the most advanced automated tire manufacturing for any consumer tires. If you handed me that list and said, you need tires today, these are the brands we have in stock, I’d go with Westlake.

I've always mounted/balanced westlake winter tires onto used cars at my dealer. They're cheap and readily available.

As others have stated, it is important to factor in the tire's width when discussing the transition zone on the DHF. I love the 2.3 DHF. I find the 2.5 to be very good, but less predictable.

Im running using Conti Soft Enduro kyrp front and Forekaster out back in EXO+, the Maxxis casing is so soft it feels weird riding up an down but is quick.

Westlake is an okay brand. Walmart sells them and their installation costs are usually pretty low.

The a while they had an issue with tread separation. Ton of them got recalled. They’ve been fine since but reputation is tainted. Ran a set years ago. They didn’t separate on me but they were built thin so potholes and the sight of nails would puncture them.

My experience with minions as a casual rider in the DFL class of my local DH races is that they leak sealant out the sidewalls, don't have a good transition when leaned over, and tend to roll off the rim.
