Michelin has excellent customer service. When we got our first model 3, we noticed two tires with bulges. We changed them thru Tesla service and they deemed them defective. They sent a check for the full amount of the new tires.
I did switch to new 18 inch wheels with 235/40 michelin AS/3 tires and it's absolutely perfect for me now.
But, spent most of the summer in Phoenix, AZ and took a road trip from Des Moines, IA to Phx on them in both sweltering 110°+ heat, and torrential downpours and they are freaking amazing.
Better ride, and quieter than stock, and I’ve personally noticed zero difference in handling.
Always Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 and nothing else.
Michelin last the longest, so you save money.
I ran the X-Ice 2s for a number of years and they were great.
Put on Michelin X ice snow on my vw golf for last season in saskatoon and with the snow we got it was so worth it.
Pilot sport 4s's. Love em but a bit pricey.
Both are really good tires, but the DWS are definitely giving up some warm weather performance in exchange for some limited cold weather usage (they are not going to replace a full-on snow tire). I live in the south, so that trade-off would not be worth it on my R--I freaking love the wet/dry grip of the PS4s, it is better than the PSS (which was a great tire in its own right).
I got the CrossClimate + 2 weeks ago. First few days I couldn’t really notice a difference. After 2 weeks and driving more, they’re definitely louder and less efficient.
