Tires MICHELIN or GENERAL TIRE
- Currently running on Michelin Cross Climates due to a slip on the ice last year
Michellin sports
I got the Michelin Defenders (stock 17\"). Definitely feel better than the Pirelli Scorpion Verdes that came with the car IMO. Tig is quiet and smooth, handles potholes very well, even makes my dirt road seem very smooth and quiet. Rain puddles like they aren't even there. Snow like a champ. Drove in a monster snowstorm this past winter, cars were off the road left and right, plows just couldn't keep up with it... Tig was driving like a tank, non-issue. Summer driving has been fun too!
Michelin super sports Have them, love them, will buy again
Last week I replaced OE Conti Pro Contact which still had decent thread left but were uncomfortably noisy with General Altimax RT43 and boy what a difference in ride quality, handling and incredibly quiet.
I’ve found the General G-Max AS-03 to be an awesome tire, on my 2nd set since the OEM Dunlop’s but the new AS-05 will be the replacement.
The General Gmax AS-05's perform extremely well. The Michelin's are still top dog don't get me wrong, they have better braking, lateral grip, as well as wet grip, but if you want 95% of the the AS 3+'s and save (usually) a couple hundred dollars on a new set of tires the AS-05's are my pick.
I just ordered a set of General Tire G-MAX AS-05 for my Bolt. With 28,000 miles of wear on the factory tires, I can feel it starting to hydroplane in heavy rain. I'm swapping before something worse than "starting to hydroplane" happens. And I'm looking forward to it being a *lot more fun* to drive.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires are generally highly regarded and will be pretty damn grippy, especially if you're used to cheap tires
Energysavers arent so good on wet surfaces, but on normal driving I did not have any problems conserning traction. I had them at rear for 2 years. They last very long.
