Tires MICHELIN or Hifly
If I want a long lasting all terrain truck tire it's usually the Michelin LTX AT2. They're expensive but the cost justifies their longevity.
$30k gets you a really nice Golf R. Co-worker just bought a 6-speed Mk7 and daily’s it here in southern AB on a set of Michelin X-Ice’s. Ive driven it a few times and would definitely have one over a newer WRX.
I just switched to Michelin defenders and I love them.
my michelin crossclimate 2 tires wear a little heavier than on a lighter car, but I would advise them if you deal with a lot of rain or snow.
Michelin Defenders are wonderful tires, IMHO.
I use michelin iceX and they are excellent!
I used RE003's for a few years, then had PS4, and I've been on PS5 for the past 3 years on my Cerato GT (I've used all three tires on the same vehicle) and I won't be changing from the PS5s. Very little difference in feel between wet or dry, probably the best wet-weather tire I've ever used and easily the best dry weather tire
I put on a set of these last week! Love them so far. A little bit noisier then my stock tires, but the car feels so much more planted now.
My $1200 Michelin ice-x tires wore out faster than my inexpensive $600 Toyo tires and the travel experience is EXACTLY the same.
The OEM tires - Michelin EnergySaver AS - are great for efficiency and pretty bad for everything else. Went through two sets, and both were consistently bad in rain and snow. One of the tires on the second set got ripped on the *sidewall* as it hit a pothole, and I found out later that the sidewalls were indeed a bit of weakness for them.
