I ran the Michelins for 8 winters here in BC. They are an excellent tire. Good in rain, snow and ice (ice performance degraded after about the third season).
I moved from the continental EV tires to Michelin cross contact and had about a 10% increase in consumption… part due to tires part due to how much better they felt and I pushed more
The best of those is Michelin Cross climate.
I have the cross Climates on my 19 Forester. I love them. I can’t wait for snow.
Joining the rest of folks here to say that it’s worth it to switch to the CC2s. They are superior in every way. Road noise is not an issue in my experience at all.
Not sure why he would suggest an inferior tire. The Cross Climate 2 are an excellent all weather tire
The GY were ok and did their job but were no where close to being as good as the Comfortread they replaced.
The CC2’s so far are amazing. Great wet and dry traction, smooth and quiet on the highway.
I replaced mine with Michelin Defenders at 17k
Careful with Michelin model numbers as they are confusing and people often buy ones they didnt intend
I HAVE THEM ON MY CAR AND THEY DO GIVE YOU A CHOPPY RIDE AFTER HAVEING michelin tires for year on my car you can tell the dif.
