Tires MICHELIN or NANKANG
BUT Michelin tends to not develop much road noise even when old.
they are LITERALLY the best (and only) tires that should go on an AMG
Crossclimate 2, especially if you get snow.
I have them on my AMG GT 53 and they are glued to the road - outstanding tires. Reasonably durable too
They are awesome, pretty much the best thing you can run that isn't a track tire, and you'll be amazed at their wet handling.
I've had experience with both the pilot super sports and now the pilot 4s on my 21 c63s that I drive 3-4 days out the week all year around and I live in the transitionzone of the US. The super sports are much stickier esp in the summer when the roads are hotter you can actually hear the tires picking up rocks and pebbles and they chirp when you put your foot down; however in the rain they spin and if its too cold they hop and skip esp when turning kind of like a bad loose lower ball joint. The pilot 4s are not as sticky or grippy as the SS’s but all around wet/cold/hot they are a great tire if your going to driving in all four seasons. I've noticed with the 4s even in the summer my car fish tails from a stop trying get traction even in the summer months they're spinning instead of gripping like SS. I hope this adds some context. I will be going back to the SS’s though and I won't be driving it in the rain like I used to as I have other vehicles for that
I run that exact tyre on my Merc E63 AMGs and like most people have said, easily the best performance tyres out there.
Awesome!
Like driving on a lake at day break.
Seriously.
After i bought my E53 i went back in a month later and replaced my Conti with the Michelin.
My first set of tyres we an eco Michelin tyre, not even specific to EV, but wore off the car at 24k kms as they started at close to 6mm of rubber and not the 8mm as before.
At first I thought they were decent but now at 20k miles they don't grip nearly as well, even with my AWD. I turned off traction control the other day and with a damp road (not raining) I did a 4 wheel burnout up to about 50 mph.
