Tires MICHELIN or OEM BMW
Best tires on the market are Michelin Defenders. You’ll thank me in 3 years when you have little to no tire wear
I just put Michelin Crossclimate2s on mine and they're doing great.
I’m in CA I only buy Michelin defenders for all my cars can’t be beat and will last 70k, they are expensive but will last twice as long saving you money
Michelin AS 4 are a solid pick. I\u2019ve run the 3s and 3+ models in previous years and handled driving in up to 6\u201d of snow when the front bumper turned into a snow plow.
I like Michelin X-Ice North4 tires since their studded. The X-Ice Snow ones are good too
I bought all-season tires that are better in the wet/snow/ice than my winter tires I was passed along from my parent's totaled Rav: Michelin CrossClimate2.
Cross Climate 2's are plenty good here. Wife's car has had them for 3 years with no issues in any weather.
As someone from the Uppermidwest with lots of snow, I cannot suggest the Michelin Cross climate hard enough. they're excellent tires that feel well grounded. and they always felt glued to the road in the winter.
They have great traction in the rain and snow. On the other hand they’re fairly loud, compared to most other all weather tires you’ll likely see up to a 5%-10% drop in fuel economy(traction comes with a cost), and ride quality and handling are mediocre at best. Whether the great traction is worth it is your decision.
Both cars have Michelin X-Ice tires. Drives me nuts. I figured it has to be something with tire weight or road grip or something, but it doesn't seem widespread. I'd love any troubleshooting tips or thoughts, its scary and becoming one of my only personal gripes with the cars.
