I've used both tires. The Pirellis came oem on my Audi. I swapped them fir the Michelins. Ride comfort and handling made the Michelins the clear cut winner.
On a side note my wife’s Lincoln SUV runs Michelin defender’s and they are a great on-road tire!
Have had both. Ok my second set of Defenders now. If you want actual on road performance and tread life get the Defenders. In my experience the Michelins are much better in rain.
For your application, defenders all the way.

This is what I had Michelin Primacy Tour A/S. Warranty is 55K, mine made it to 67k before I just changed them to the Michelin Pilots.
Cup 2 are allergic to water.
Go with the ps4s. They're not great rain tires, but they're good on wet.
Cross Climates are very noisy. Thats just how they are
