Only downside I can see is that now I can't give it the business merging in 2nd gear, as it will just blow through the tires (and I've already upgraded them to a Michelin Pilot Sport since I felt the factory Hankook rode very rough).

Pros: upgraded to Michelin Pilot Sport
Cons: factory Hankook rode rough

I did just put these tires on my wife's 2016 jetta sport. They have 3k miles on them already in the past month and they are great. Quiet on the highway (though when you hit expansion joints it's kinda loud) ride good and handling/traction for wet, dry and the little bit of snow we got was pretty impressive too for an all season tire.

Pros: quiet on highway, good handling
Cons: loud on expansion joints
Mileage: 4828 km

MICHELIN Tires

I prefer the x-ice over the blizacks. I found they last longer and maintain their grip as they wear better. But I must admit I am partial to Michelin in general.

Pros: last longer, maintain grip

First thing going on my project s2k is a fresh set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. Things that make constant contact with the ground should not be substituted for a cheaper, inferior replacement.

Cons: cheaper, inferior

The Michelins Xice are so good I rarely buy anything else. Hardly notice they are on in dry conditions. The big van gets BFG KO2 tires and those pretty much rule as well

Pros: so good, hardly notice in dry conditions

I purchased a set of X-Ice for my old Audi A6 years ago and had great tire life - over 8 winters - and still only half worn when I sold the car with 144,000 miles on it. Super traction on Ice - Packed Snow - and every day cold weather wet driving in Seattle. Took a trip in CA national parks in December and never got stuck. So when I got my Alltrack SEL - I saved the 17 inch wheels from my Buyback TDI - and bought another set of Michelin X-Ice to fit the 17's and though only driven one winter I think they are great. They are not noisy and a great ride - better then the Conti's on 18 inch Wheels actually.

Pros: great tire life, super traction, not noisy, great ride
Vehicle: Audi A6
Mileage: 231745 km

MICHELIN Tires

I own a rwd lowered coupe, drove it all winter last year and bought Michelin x ice tires, had no issues. As long as you're a decent winter driver and have good winter tires you'll be fine.

Pros: no issues

MICHELIN Tires

Definitely winters for a RWD, I had a RWD 335i with X-Ice 3 and I never had an issue with tires. The only problem I had with snow was my car basically plowing the streets because it was so low.

Pros: no issue with tires
Cons: car plowed streets
Vehicle: BMW

I've put 2500 miles on the Pirellis and the positives are handling, comfort, low noise. The negative is they refuse to stay balanced.

Pros: handling, comfort, low noise
Cons: refuse to stay balanced
Mileage: 2500 km

That said, if you're not looking for a performance tire but a quiet, smooth, comfortable tire that holds air and hates to change direction the Cinturato P7s are for you. If you want to drive your GTI like it's a sporty car with some fun and enthusiasm, you'll find that the P7s spin, lose traction, squeal, hate to change direction chatter on braking and generally suck when driving with more vigor than an 80 year old, blind coot who doesn't want to spill his beer.

Pros: quiet, smooth, comfortable
Cons: lose traction, spin
Vehicle: Volkswagen
