Tires MICHELIN or Pirelli
Today I had a 600 km trip in -6*C, half of the way I used chill mode, tried to keep constant speed 100 km/h (winter tires Sottozero 3, 18\u201d without aero) and I got 175Wh/km. After charging I switched to Normal and continued my trip: average consumption kept floating near 178, I switched to Chill and saw how it slowly decreased to 169Wh/km.
We replaced the OEM Bridgestone with Pirelli Scorpion A/S 3. They are very quiet and smooth riding. I can highly recommend them.
Michelin Road 6 have been so awesome I got them again recently. Very confidence inspiring, more capable than I. By that I mean I can't take a corner fast enough to feel unsafe. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
Just put on the alpin 5s for winter. Car is pretty good in 6” of snow or less and the alpin 5s are actually fun to drive in cold dry.
So I have run the cc2 on my 2010 legacy for about 30k, I'm pretty familiar with their good and bad points. They wear very well so long as you rotate every 5k or less and keep your alignment to spec. After 30k I'm still at 8/32. They have phenomenal snow traction and outstanding rain performance. Summer performance is fine, not dedicated summer sport tire level but fine for me. They can be a little bit louder but nothing that bothers. They do pick up gravel, so you do hear that as it gets ejected and they will cut your mileage by about 2-3 mpg, also no big deal. All in all I find them to be the best tires I've ever run on an all wheel drive car and I will always run them on my subie unless something is proven better.
the two tires people keep circling back to are Michelin Defender 2 (for max longevity + quiet ride) and Pirelli Scorpion WeatherActive (for folks who want legit wet/snow grip without going full winter tire). Both feel noticeably better than the OEM rubber Mazda ships these with less thump over expansion joints and far more planted in rain.
I have PS4S on my 992.2 C2S and these are fine in very rainy weather l use the WET mode when it's pouring down. The weather around here 5c 41f.
I have these on my Q5 and while I like them and they are grippy, I don’t notice any difference in road noise from the stock tires.
Od svih koje sam imao, Alpin 5 je bila najgora.
I bought these and I hate them. They’re so slippery on dry roads and are terrible in rain. I can’t corner AT ALL with speed. I’ll never buy these again and I don’t understand how so many people think these are great. Dangerous tire
