Tires MICHELIN or VITOUR
I put these on my 2019 Highlander hybrid. 6k miles on them and love the wet and dry handling. I have dedicated blizzak winters but am going to run my cc2 this season as my blizzaks have 36k miles on them. Road trip soon that will include winter snow conditions. I will post how they handle. Also I did notice a 1.5~2 mpg drop in fuel economy.
Michelin CrossClimate2 are amazingly smooth and quiet. And they hardly wear at all. Over 20k on my set and they’ve only worn 1/32nd.
I don’t even live in a snowy environment but they are amazing in heavy rain. 70mph in heavy rain is easily doable
I can tell you the Cross Climate 2s are a fantastic tire - however I mostly stayed on pavement with the occasional gravel / dirt road - nothing with lots of rocks or potholes
I have a pair of Defender 1 and 2s on my 2017. Both great. Defenders will impact your MPG. Around 2-3 in my experience.
We put the Michelin Cross climates on 2 years ago, still no problems and much better gas mileage.
So, I got some Michelin X-Ice Snow tires put on for Winter!
I have Michelin defenders on my RAV4. They're loud but go like hell in the snow
I only put Michelin defenders on my Highlander and 4runner and we use the 4runner to go to the Hunt land, gravel roads going into rutted dirt roads, forest service roads when going fishing, no issues at all.
The Pilot Sport Cup 2's had great grip but are VERY expensive and had a strong tendency to tramline - do not reccommend for the street unless you track the car. The Pilot Sport 4s have better manners on the street in the OEM sizes (305/30R19 & 315/30R19) and are less expensive than the Cup 2's.
My 70K Michelins were rocks at 47000
Still had some tread left all evenly worn but they sucked
No traction,no ride quality and i junked them.
