Tires NANKANG or KENDA
I decided to replace the stock tires on my Radwagon 4 EU with motorcycle tires. Here are some pros, cons, and thoughts. The Kenda's provide a much sturdier ride feel vs the stock tires. I found the stocks were bouncy and balloony, like the bike was on leaf springs. Super annoying. The Kenda tires are stiffer, eliminates cartoonish bounce, and ride feels smoother and secure.
Nankang worked well for me
I have nankang ar1s on my mclaren 12c. Great track tire
I have a kenda 760 rear on my kx85, I think I only run like 10-14psi in it but it feels fine.
i have 20 x 1.75 kenda commuter tires. i usually fill them to about 40-45psi, i think the side wall says 40-60 psi?
I have Nankang NS-25s on mine. Less than $100 each, and even with a Malone Stage 2 setup, it only spins the tires a little bit. Dry handling is surprisingly good as well. They put up with northern Illinois winters well enough, and are just fine in the rain. Not too much road noise either.
I liked them when I had them. Dry and wet they were pretty good, in the snow...not so much.
I had them on the c5s, drove them prettybhard in all sorts of weather and they were great,.. But at the first sigh of snow they were horrible, barely made it home with a 1/4 in of snow.. Dry wet however was great and to me they seemed silent..
I had Nankangs once. The only negative reviews I read just pointed out the excessive road noise. They drove me absolutely ****ing insane the entire time I had them on my car.
My nankangs stretched pretty well. However, They suck in the rain. Like, scary bad. But you can do crazy burn-outs, because they don't grip for sh!t. You get what you pay for, in this case unfortunately.
