Tires Nexen or Barum
I have only used their previous version, Winguard Sports. Can't complain about them. They are a performance winter, so snow and ice won't be as good as a Xice Xi3, blizzak ws-80 or Hakkapeliitta tire

I've been quite happy with my Nexens on my E39. They're quiet and smooth. Oh yeah, grip in the snow is quite good too.

I run Nexen N'Fera SU1 tires on my GTI in the summer: https://www.nexentireusa.com/tires/high-performance/n-fera-su1 Best budget tires I've ever tried. They are wearing nicely, grip in dry and wet is great. I was VERY surprised about the wet weather performance. I'd buy them again and again, no questions asked.

I ran Nexen N-Fera SU1 on my GTI this summer and they were great. Wet/Dry performance for the daily driver was great, noise wasn't an issue either. Seem to be wearing well.

The N3000 is ok. Had them on my A4 Avant when I bought it. Dry grip is pretty good, and they do ok in the wet, too. Definitely lacking in grip compared to something like PS2s but not bad. Sidewall is moderately soft and they wear quicker than expected.

And out of all the tires I've ever purchased, Bridgestone/Firestones have been the worst ( only exception were the FR710s on my Aura.) Followed by the garbage Nexens I had on the Optima.

I have some Nexen tires on a Kia Optima and all four are "out of round" with only 17k Miles. Like riding on square block. Crappy tires!
