Tires Nexen or BRIDGESTONE
I have them on my car, bought them in 2023 and living in the northeast, they've gone through two winters, hot ass summers and rain and they've done the job and still have a ton of tread on them. With so much insane weather here, I was worried about maybe some traction problems in the snow and rain. Haven't had any at all. YMMV but they've been better "for me" than some higher priced, higher rated tires I wasted money on in the past. I can't speak on everything the company sells, but my specific ones are the Nexen CP671s.
They are a decent midrange tire. Absolutely a good choice if your budget is limited.
Bridgestone Sports are very good. I have Azenis on my other car and feel that they are just slightly under it in grip. Which is more than I need for street driving
Just got Bridgestone dueler a/t ascent. Very happy with them so far, pretty quiet on pavement for an all terrain tire
True that, I also had Alnac 4G tyres then changed to Yokohama Blue Earth they offered great performance however the noise suppression wasn't much, slightly better if only, but they offered really good grip.
Now changed to Bridgestone Turanza 6i and they are extremely silent, no noise at all, wind noise is audible only after crossing 80kmph. Although grip was they are more or less same as Yokohama Bluearth.
But these are expensive paid 11.5k for each tyre - 205/55/16 size.
I bought a set of Bridgestone Weatherpeak tires from Costco for around $700. They're three peak snowflake rated and are quiet. They do well for me in the PNW.
I just installed 4 of these at Costco this week on my 2018 Camry SE for about $750 before tax(Memorial Day sale) I’ve only driven about 50 miles this week but I think they are pretty solid. No noticeable road noise compared to my old tires (hankooks before these). The tread is huge and rated for 80k miles so these are going to last me quite a while barring any bad flats/etc.
We swapped in snow tires (blizzaks) and took a 20% efficiency hit, so your reported 33% is definitely worse but still in the same ballpark.
Ya, I have Weatherpeaks on my 2013 Avalon. 29,000 miles and they are at 2/32. They have less than 100 miles of gravel use as well. I cannot recommend them.
I live in Massachusetts, I found the grandtek to be terrible in the snow. I got rid of them the first time I slid.
