Nexen Tires

Picked up some Nexen Roadian GTXs that have served beautifully for about a year and a half and 24k miles. I’m a strong believer in middle of the pack tires. If you are going to go top notch, it’s Michelin or bust. Other than that, choose a decent tire for a middle of the road price.

Pros: served beautifully
Mileage: 24000 km

Nexen Tires

Nexen, depending on the model (avoid the CPxxx models otherwise excellent tires) are great tires and would be a lateral move from the RT43...

Pros: great tires, lateral move
Cons: avoid CPxxx models

Nexen Tires

I have been a big fan of Nexen tires for some time... Sent two kids to college on them in the Dakotas where conditions can be less than ideal. And we have used their winter tires, performance tires, and truck tires as well and I can say I don't really have any negatives to say for the price... They are solid, budget tires in the same league as Cooper, General, Falken, and Yokohama... They are not Michelins or Bridgestones, but they don't try to be either.

Pros: solid, budget tires
Cons: not Michelin or Bridgestone

SUMITOMO Tires

Rating 3.0

I daily drive with the Sumitomos they are alright in the dry but I do find they aren't as good in the wet. They do feel pretty predictable when driving hard and the tire wear isn't too bad.

Pros: predictable when driving hard
Cons: not good in wet

Nexen Tires

the stock OE tires are absolute garbage but they'll work just fine if you live in warmer climate area. I put mine through a single winter in buffalo ny area. it was a bad idea but if you're a good driver, you can manage the LACK of ANY traction.

Pros: work in warmer climate
Cons: absolute garbage, lack traction
Vehicle: Hyundai
