Tires NITTO or COMFORSER
After reading some reviews and looking at pictures of stretched tires in different sizes, I purchased four Nitto Neo Gens in 205/45/ZR17.
I threw on my 4th set of Nitto Gens... Ugh, I love these thangs... Ran 25k with -3.5deg camber and had nothing but even wear on the tires. Hence why I bought another set.
on my second set. i love em. they are super quiet, grippy and soft but dont wear too fast and very comfy.
I love mine, I've got 30k on my current set. Only complaint is they get pretty loud as they wear down. Great on snow and rain.
Neo Gens are good tires. Good for camber wear and they are not directional so you can flip them.
The front wheels are 18x8 with 245/45/18 Nitto 555s and the rears are 18x9.5 with 285/45/18 Nitto 555r drag radials.
I'm also getting new summer rubber, Nitto Neogens in 205/45 R16.
My Fox had 185/60/14's when I bought it new. I've ran this size for may years mostly in Pirelli and Yokohama's. They seem to be about just right. I did try 195/60/14 but I got a wheel rub in the rear when I hit hard bumps. Now I had some NITTO - NT01 Ultra HP that were 205/55/14. I really like the way these tires looked on the Fox , they are only + 0.07 difference in Side Wall height compared to the 185/60/14. What I liked was the width of the tire is 8.07" wide -vs- 7.28" wide. The only Cons about these tires is that they are very soft. So you are lucky if you get 30,000 miles out of them.
Wrote my car off into an enbankment on NT05's in the rain while driving normally.
I've had NT05's on my TT and they lasted one season, and I couldn't drive in the rain.
