Tires NITTO or Cooper
I have 315/35/20 NT05 on the rear of my challenger 392 widebody, and it's been raining a ton in California lately. Surprisingly, they have been totally fine in the rain.
i have SST pro. best bang for the buck.
Go with the Cooper STT Pros. I had them on my Liberty in 32s and now on my XJ in 37s. Awesome tire, I daily drive my XJ so wet street traction was a big thing for me. I've had no issues in the snow, wet, dry, mud, sand, rocks. They are also a very quiet tire. They'll last a while too.
Cooper Discoverer AT3 4s 235/65/17 I tried the same tire in 235/70/17 but they rubbed the spring perch up front. America\u2019s Tire has great Black Friday deals and they price matched any online store as well. The tire technicians were great with doing the test fitting as well.
We have been pleased with our Cooper cs5 tires......
I got to field test my Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S tires in the snow this weekend. This is a solid A/T tire, and it's one of the quieter ones on pavement. Handling was awesome; ran them at 25 psi and plowed through small drifts ~12\" high with no issues.
Running 30.9" Cooper A/T3-4S (235/75R17) on 17x8" rims AND a 1.5" lift I wish I had gone bigger on my tires
I am really wanting to try out the nitto Nt 05 I am in the process of replacing the stock tire for the first time but those tires would not last me a month if I was to daily them. so I am going with the Nitto invo seem like a good tire not being able to go with any I used when I was driving my beetle.
My Fox had 185/60/14's when I bought it new. I've ran this size for may years mostly in Pirelli and Yokohama's. They seem to be about just right. I did try 195/60/14 but I got a wheel rub in the rear when I hit hard bumps. Now I had some NITTO - NT01 Ultra HP that were 205/55/14. I really like the way these tires looked on the Fox , they are only + 0.07 difference in Side Wall height compared to the 185/60/14. What I liked was the width of the tire is 8.07" wide -vs- 7.28" wide. The only Cons about these tires is that they are very soft. So you are lucky if you get 30,000 miles out of them.
I bought the RS3-G1s in 205/55R16 for my 2016 Sportwagen (stock was 225/40R18, have also had 195/65R15 snow tires and 195/65R15 LRR all seasons on it) - and they are EXTREMELY rough riding tires compared to any of the other tires, including the 18" P-Zero Neros. I almost pulled the wheels and tires off and listed them for sale within the first 500 miles. I had specifically gone 16" as a reasonable compromise of tire selection, price, looks, comfort, and gas mileage as the 18's had been a ~4MPG hit compared to the 15s, but any dreams of comfort went out the window with the Coopers. YMMV, but I wouldn't buy these again and regret doing so.
