Tires NITTO or Giti
Looks good. I did 275/60/20 E Range Recons back in January and have about 5k on em. Only one issue was the past few weeks I had a slight leak that ended up being three very small punctures from some framing nails. Plugged em myself and haven’t had an issue in a week so we’ll see if I fixed it.
Still no appreciable road noise, and the only noticeable mpg drop is in the city going light to light. On flat hwy the mpgs went down maybe 1 mpg over 120 mi. I’ve aired em down and taken them out on the beach and they performed perfectly. They’ve been on some back mountain roads in WV and had much more traction than the stockers.
Now, with the E rated tires vs the stock Goodyears, I did notice that the rear spin a LOT easier in the rain.
I wanted more aggressive tires but didnt want LT tires. These only weigh 48lbs compared to the Hankooks at 42lbs. I drove over an hour home from Discount and they handle great and no more road noise than the Hancooks.
Nitto NT555 G2s call for 35 psi
For what it's worth, I've loved the Nitto Neo-Gens. Have been flawless in the rain plus very quiet and decent adhesion all-around.
Nitto neogens ???????? thank me later
I put Nitto Motivos on my 15 limited and they feel great. Nice grip
Nitto Recon Grappler. Great tires, very quiet but look great
On stock wheels I'm running Nitto 555 G2's at 305/35 on all 4 corners. Best tire? No. But for the price and treadwear they do fine.
In case anyone stumbles upon this, my 35 inch load E ridge grapplers are AMAZING in everything **but** mud. Almost got hopelessly stuck the other day. My old cooper evolutions MTs would have easily dug me out. Im looking to get out of these asap, awful for winter overlanding. If you hit mud you're screwed in Ridge Grapps
My wife has Nitto 555G2's on her Mustang and complains about it tracking every groove in the road. Her old Nittos didn't do that.
