Tires NITTO or Goodyear
Took advice and bought 20" AS wheels and Goodyear Wrangler tires at the Richmond SC, and they realigned. Massive improvement.
Just bought good year assurance tires, delivered to a walmart tire center, and installed a day later in 30 mins by walmart tire for a total of 430.
Anything AT with 3PMS rating. I like Goodyear Wrangler.
Goodyear reliant from Walmart are still on sale, I have them on my beater, they’re great!
If you are also borderline on needing summer tires, buy Goodyear Assurance Weatherready tires. They are not snow tires, but are the best all-season tires for snow.
Dedicated snow tires are not required, but they do help. That being said, we have 3-peak *all-season* tires on our vehicles (Goodyear WeatherReady) and find they do a decent job and do better than regular all-season tires.
I like them everywhere except wet roads. I've never been disappointed with their performance off-road and they do really well in snow, better than in rain actually. I can't hear the tire noise over the wind and rattling. Granted, they're the only ATs I've had on my Jeep since it was lifted so I can't compare them to other things. They are not the best option for a daily driver F150 though. They get loud and cup quickly and rain performance is more important with a heavier vehicle, especially when towing a camper.
These Goodyear dura tracs will not die, 60,000 miles, noisy as hell and no traction when it rains.
Ran Grapplers on my F150 and they are loud AF. They’re not nearly as good on wet pavement, snow, ice as Wildpeaks.
I am over buying tires. My wheel setup includes NITTO NEO GEN FRONT: 205/40 REAR: 215/40. Tires are stretched. I had a wide body made and I’m now running-2.6 rear and -1 front to hopefully get longer life out of my tires.
