Nitto 555s on my Shelby were the best tire I've ever had on a car.they were super sticky and quiet.
Neo Gens are awesome when it comes to stretch.
I've always had luck with Neogen's and they tend to stretch really well.
I'm running 215/40-18 Nitto Neogen's on my 9.5" without a problem.
I actually also like the NT-05 for track days primarily for the price. They are about as good in the dry as the RE-11's, better than the PSS but tend to get a bit noisy on the highway at certain speeds once they start to wear down.
While 255/35/19 still worked just fine, I feel that 245/35/19 is the best set up on a 19x8.5 rims. the outer lip of the tires will protect the rims, as the 245 tires will not be stretched on 8.5 rims.
I like the nitto 555r but smallest they have is 245/50r16.. would that fit on a 16x7 rim?
I went with the neo gens (205/40) they do stretch good however the sidewall is noticeable bigger than the 195/40 federal.
I had the Nitto 420S on my Ram SRT-10. The tread virtually did not wear, but they had the worst wet traction I've ever experienced by the time they were 5 years old. They turned to rocks despite still having 90% tread. No rotting or cracks.
I have these on my Jeep. They are downright dangerous on anything but dry pavement.
