I'm running 215/40-18 Nitto Neogen's on my 9.5" without a problem.
I actually also like the NT-05 for track days primarily for the price. They are about as good in the dry as the RE-11's, better than the PSS but tend to get a bit noisy on the highway at certain speeds once they start to wear down.
While 255/35/19 still worked just fine, I feel that 245/35/19 is the best set up on a 19x8.5 rims. the outer lip of the tires will protect the rims, as the 245 tires will not be stretched on 8.5 rims.
I like the nitto 555r but smallest they have is 245/50r16.. would that fit on a 16x7 rim?
Never had any issues with neogen, had them on quite a few sets of wheels.
i run the same size 235/40/17 Nitto Nt01. Awesome, perfect fitment.
I've got a bit over 7000 miles on them and I have the same impressions. I really enjoy these tires. Quiet, sticky, great wet traction and dry. Very very happy with them.
I'm running Nitto NT450s, 205/40/16 on an 8.5" wheel, but they're about bald. So I've ordered a set of Neo-Gens in the same size, they should be here before the weekend. Jason from 4everkustomz in Reamstown is mounting them.
Wrote my car off into an enbankment on NT05's in the rain while driving normally.
I've had NT05's on my TT and they lasted one season, and I couldn't drive in the rain.
