Tires Nokia or MRF
I’m a fan of Nokian WRG4s
We put them on our 2018 XT this year, studless. Been pretty good so far. The -30C we've been getting in Calgary lately though there's still some slip on the hard sheer ice but no way I'd want to try regular all seasons!
I have the Ones on my 1997 Toyota Estima Emina and they're great. Nice steering response and like Nokian's other all-season tires, they do great in the wet. I also appreciate the aramid (kevlar) sidewalls.
Best tires I've used in order are:
Nokian Hakka r3 (r5, r10, r8)
Nokian One. They are cheaper than top tier tires with the same or better ratings. They have a 80k mile tread wear warranty, reinforced sidewalls and great grip in the rain. I live in the PNW and have had them for only a couple months but I highly recommend.
Mine is a beast with Hakkapeliitta R3 snow tires.
I have nokian outpost all terrains on my rig. I love the way they look.
Just installed the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5 SUV tire. They come with the right load range and speed rating and are surprisingly quiet on the road. I don't have but a few miles on them, but they look good and fit nicely though at 33" instead of 34".
As for the WRG2's - had them for less than two years. Rotated every 6500 miles. Very noisy starting at 18,000 miles and down to the bottom wear bars after 23,000 miles. There was no way they were going to make it through another winter. No treadwear warranty from Nokian. The Entyres are quiet and the ride & handling are very good. I only wish they had just a tad more grip in the Chicago snow, but overall I'm very happy with them.
Hope you have a better experience with the Outpost AT’s than I did. Just pulled them off my WK2 Grand Cherokee and disposed of them after 15K. Either way had substantial cracking and dry-rotting in-between treadblocks and violent shaking that went away with new Destination AT2’s.
