Tires OEM BMW or OEM Audi
Still running on the og tires(1 summer set, 1 winter).
Im still on OEM all season tires and I figure I can hit 40k before replacement.
Am 320i lci rwd, si nu am nevoie de xdrive. Daca ai anvelope de calitate poti sa mergi si la munte.
Rwd are costuri reduse de intretinere fata de xdrive, mai usor, mai eficient.
I'm at about 50k on a audi Q4 awd and outside of resetting the inspection light ever 10k miles, washer fluid monthly, and tires at 40k.
I just had a tire blow out on my RS6 and nothing like the article happened. You just replace the tire and reset the TPMS.
BMW, to achieve superior handling, uses an aggressive negative camber for the rear wheels. So the inner of the rear tires will wear out faster by design. It is not an alignment issue.
Other than that you will go through tires pretty rapidly(30k average) and brakes(50k average)
I have a 2024 BMW IXM60 that came with run-flat tires. While driving around 40 mph, I hit a pothole and the run-flat instantly went flat and did not at all feel safe to drive on except for a couple blocks back to my home. I would not spend the extra money for run flats, did not find any benefit at all from it.
Im 6000 miles in on my i4 m50 and the tires are about to be replaced. Its a super powerful and super heavy car and it will eat up tires like nothing.
As others mentioned, run-flats are more suspectable to sidewall damage. They're also heavier and noisier. Also, you may have a wider selection of tires if you go with non-runflat.
