Tires Pirelli or DEXTER
S/O's Tiguan has those Pirellis and I can't say anything bad about them. Quiet and comfortable and handle all situations well.
I recently replaced model 3 tires to pirrelli, they are quiter and the ride is smooth.
I ended up getting the Pirelli Sottozero 3's (winter) back in 2018. They've been great for the last two winters. No idea how the summer tires do but would definitely buy another set of their winter tires if I needed to.
Got lucky and read this info somewhere years ago when I bought my 15. Pirelli Winter Sottozeros 3's, the thing is unbelievable in any type of inclement weather.
I honestly look forward to swapping to my downsized 205/55 16 winter tires (GSW) because they're noticeably less harsh and quieter than the stock 45 series Pirelli P7s on rougher roads.
Hi everyone, I just got an e-Golf a couple of months ago and wanted to upgrade my wheels. I ended up with the Belverdere GTi TCR wheels as they're supposed to be the lightest stock 18 that VW do. They came with Bridgestone Potenzas on them that have an E fuel efficiency rating and they drop my miles/kwh from 5 on a careful run to 3 on a careful run. After hunting online, I found a set of Pirelli P7 Blue Cinturatos, which are rated A for fuel efficiency and got them fitted. I'm now back up to 5 miles/kwh with careful driving.
They are very good tires. I have run them on a GLI, Passat GT, Golf R and two Audi A4’s. They are really good on dry cold pavement. Low road noise. They do very good in snow, rain and bad weather. They do OK in deep snow. They are performance winter, so they will handle very well.
Thursday was not a good day for one of my Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 tires. On the way to work a pothole got my front right side tire...When I got home I notice a nick in the rim, but not the damage to the tire...Called Tirerack, since I have the road hazard coverage and filed a claim.
My car came with Pirelli P zeros from the factory. They were awful. Run Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetrics now and they are much much better. Especially in the wet.
My car comed from factory with the Pirelli's P7 and, as others have pointed out already, they wear faster than others brands (at least compared with Bridgestone, Dunlop and Continental) and they badly cope with water. Really scary shit if the road is even a little wet. Not recommended.
