Tires Pirelli or Falken
AZENIS I have had mine just over a year{ still holdin air } and love them maybe one of my favorite tires i have ever had
I run Azenis Sports in 195/60 size. It is a bit taller. However, if performance or street tire class competition is more important, then the Azenis is a good tire. They are THE BEST dry tire around. Wet performance is average.
i'm really happy w/ my decission on the falken 512's.... they've been on prolly 3k miles so far and no problems... and believe me... i have to try REALLY hard to slide out or screetch in them.... also when i torque break for my launches, i can't even peel out anymore, the most i get is a light screetch followed by me being sucked into my seat
I just got a set of Falken Azenis St-115s (225/45/17 from Edgeracing) - only had them on for 200 miles or sobut they are awesome -- so frickin quiet! So tire hum at all!
i ended up getting the falken 512's.... btw i'm very happy with these, i can carve corners that i would never have dreamed of w/ my old tires(i guess partially b/c the front were basically bald, and the rears only had about 1k left), anyways the handling difference is amazing, i can't wait till i reaaaally get to try these out in a parking lot w/ some cones friday night of so lol
get the Azenis St-115, best handling all-season tire i've ever used. and it handles alot better than the Kuhmo ecsta 712s i had before.
great tire i love it.. cheap and great grip.. just the tread life isnt so happy
i've put about 2000 miles on a set, and I like em a lot better than the Michelin Pilots that came stock... IMO, they are slightly nosier on the road, but not loud by any stretch. The noise may also be a side effect of siping the tires. Really good grip in the dry and the wet. They were OK in the one snow storm that left anything on the ground this year. Definately not a 'real' snow tire though.
They're similar to the Pilot Sport Cups in terms of wear but I've been told that their grip levels are a bit below that of the PSCs.
Be careful with anything that Pirelli makes with an M&S rating. I've owned both a set of Pirelli P7000 and P7000 SuperSports, which are M&S tires. The SuperSports flatspotted, wore unevenly and did not offer the grip/responsivness as the regular P7000.
