Tires Pirelli or Maxxis
I recently put 19” Pirelli Scorpion on my Model 3. Look sick and run quiet. Gets a little rough over 90mph.
I have the sottozero 3s and they are really damn good in the dry for being a snow tire. Almost as good as a set of performance all seasons while being way better than all seasons in snow.
If you are looking for tires with harder compound yt enough grip check out Pirelli Scorpion Enduro or Continental. For the back wheel better than any Maxxis or Schwalbe.
A Maxxis Shorty in DD casing and Max-Grip compound is about as slow a tyre as you can get - a Maxxis Rekon Race in Exo casing and Max-Speed compound is about the fastest thing you can put on your rims.
I found with my PHEV's the Volt and ELR that messing with the air pressure makes a huge difference. The Volt ate tires until I went up to 42 psi cold( rec is 38 ). Then they wore smoothly across and got better mpg. The ELR, the stock tires were total crap. I put pirelli cinturato c7 tires on it and their sweet spot was 40 psi, the ELR is heavier. They were also dead silent compared to the massive droning the stock tires had.
Pirelli Sotto Zeros on 18s stock 245-40-18. Feel decent on corners and still sporty for me but gives me piece of mind for snow driving in winter
I bought STi wheels and used Pirelli Winter Sotto3 winter tires
Pirelli Sotozerro. There is only snow on the ground for maybe 5 days total but for the rest of winter I want anything BUT the loud highway drone of Blizzaks
Maxxis is a shit tire company. Their quality is atrocious pretty much post covid
Im sorry but these tires are a joke. Soft medium/medium soft should never be a strategy.
