Tires Pirelli or YOKOHAMA
I just mounted these on my wife’s Alltrack… not the most “performance” forward but quiet, safe, and plenty of grip..
Yokohama tires. I love yokos. They have a great balance between cost, wear, and feel. We usually get a 3PMS variant of some sort. Currently CV4S models on the 19 XC90.
Pirelli’s winter tires are great on dry days and occasional snow, but you will be better off with tires more suited for the heavy snow conditions in ski areas.
I go through 2-3 sets a season on my C5 z06. I consider it the price to be competitive in CAM.
I've heard they don't last long but they are doing great on my Lotus Elise.
I'm on my 3rd season on mine with about 60 runs and the same 60 second course a season and I just put in my best performance last month.
Yoks are fast asf. Between the yoks and my new years resolution of "don't be a bitch" I picked up something like 2 seconds over last year.
Here's how my tires look after this season. This is \~75-80 runs total on a 60s course on concrete. There's still meat on the bone, but I don't think there's another 80 left. I'll be buying more tires by the middle of next season at the latest.
Pirelli makes great sport tyres, but they wear out unbelievably fast.
The worst tier that I have ever purchased. I had these put on my Alfa Romeo Stelvio, The tire noise is horrible, there is a lot of humming noise at high way speed, and it vibrates between 75 - 90 mph, i have done countless balancing and even tested the road force, the steering wheel vibration persists.
Absolute garbage, they only lasted 20k miles on my XC90 T8. Pretty bad in wet conditions also.
