Tires RIKEN or Shinko
I put on Shinko Ravens and they are more confidence inspiring than the Michelin Pilot 3s I was using.
Might I suggest some Shinko’s. I got 16k out of the back tire I got for my Goldwing, 12k+ of those were overloaded doing 80-90 across the country and through the Rockies.
Get the shinko 777, they’re great. Stickiest compound tire I run and I have no issues in the rain. Great for wheelies too
- Have been running Shinko 777 tires on my FLHRSI which I'm very happy with, but am going with the longer lasting Shinko 999 tires next.
Recently bought some Rikens(Japanese tyre company that is now owned by Michelin and made in EU) for my wife's car and they are smooth AF.
Rikens are fine. They're quite a soft tyre, probably because like you said Michelin make them butbthat does meant the grip is decent.
Shinko SR777 HD (reinforced) tires on my '04 FLHRSI as best bang for the buck given how ex$pen$ive the premium tires are these days. It helps to check the psi more often for longevity though.
My “RíKEN RAPTOR” tires sound pretty… well I think about my driving on cooler temp roads with corners or any moisture.
We used to use the P Zero Nero as they came on our mustang but they just didn't have the traction we wanted...We replaced them with RIKEN RIKEN RAPTOR ZR tires @ about $100 each (raw tire)
The Riken handle better on blacktop, although it's no super sticky tire but the front end doesn't plow near as bad.
I’ve been running Riken Raptor ZR A/S tires since I got my WRX just over a year ago and FINALLY got my hands on a set of Blizzaks. I’m excited to see how they handle any future snows here in Colorado Springs. We just had a good bit of snow dumped on us this past week and the all seasons were definitely showing signs of needing replacement.
