Tires Vredestein or WEST LAKE
It sounds like your issues are mostly due to the tires. The stock tires aren't very good in the [snow and cold](https://www.tirerack.com/tires/continental-procontact-rx). I changed my tires to better all-weather tires (Vredestein Quatrac Pros) and saw great performance in snow for the last two winters in Chicago.
Also running Vredestein Quatrac Pro in a wet state that gets some snow too. Excellent all-rounder.
I am running Vredestein Quatrac Pro. Super comfy ride but still pretty sporty for a all-season tire. I would not hesitate to buy another set of Vredestein tires, all seasons or not!
Replaced factory Continental tires with Vredestein Quatrac Pros, which are infinitely better.
I use those exact tires. Unless you’re doing something crazy, they’re really good. I’ve driven them in horrible winter weather to very rainy summer days on the autobahn. They’re the best I’ve ever had.
Actually just got those tires put on barely 2 weeks ago, took advantage of the rebate and good price on tire rack. I wasnt familiar either with the brand but after doing some research they are very well known and liked in Europe, they are made in Holland. I didnt want to buy new wheels til next summer so ended up getting the stock tire size 235 35 by 19 on the stock wheel. i cant speak on how they perform in the snow quite yet but so far so good, they give you a 10-15% stiffer ride specially in race mode compared to my stock goodyear summer tire but i was expecting that. so far so good! Specially for the price im a fan.
I went from the OEM 245/40R19 on my '19 non-R SEL-P to 245/45R18 for winter.
I have Westlake SU318's on my Ranger now and they are cheap and fantastic. Great wet grip and very quiet.
Needing 4 new tires in my 2014 Honda Civic. Got quoted 400 mounted and balanced for a set of west lake tires.
Ah, west lakes, balance like shit like Rovelos. They’re a low cost low tier tire that dealers install to keep costs cheap overall.
