Tires YOKOHAMA or BRIDGESTONE
Recently got some Yokohama Avid Ascends after reading some recs on this sub. I like 'em.
Then installed brand new Blizzak winter tires, aired up to 36lbs. Next 3 tanks road tripping to Bend Oregon. Largest size Thule cargo box on roof. First road trip tank on the way down all rolling rural highway, so a lot of total elevation change. 24mpg.
So swapped out to an AWD Atlas, added new 17inch wheels with Blizzaks. It's a remarkable set up for winter driving, incredibly confidence inspiring
Yokohama avid on my xse non-premium as well. We just got our first snow here in Maryland, and it performed exceptionally imo.
Michelin is expensive, almost double more expensive than Bridgestone. I have not seen anything different between them so far. I like the Bridgestone so far.
Depends how u drive ur car. But if budget not an issue, go for michelin or yokohama.
In August 2020, I had Yokohama Avid Ascend LX installed on the vehicle and I have to say that 2 months later that was the best decision I made to swap the OEM's off. My CRV came back to what it used to be and even better in the driving experience. The road behavior is great, breaking is solid and my gas mileage went way down. Wet driving feel really safe.
I replaced mine with Yokohama YK740 GTX's.
Just got them replaced with Yokohamas this week and got a similar warranty refund on them. It’s absurd that they only made it to 10K miles, but I love the car so much I’m not complaining much about it.
My re050a's were totally worn out at 11k Miles.
